Title: Quantum fields and gravity - unification and incompatibility

Abstract: I discuss various aspects of the unification between quantum
physics and gravity at different levels. Focus will be given on the
interrelation between theoretical concepts such as the equivalence
principle, relativistic invariance, unitarity, perturbative
renormalizability, and UV completeness, which are believed to be
essential but seem to be incompatible with each other at a fundamental
level.
