Title: Black hole accretion disk models

Abstract: The strong gravity regime close to black holes provides an excellent
laboratory to explore our understanding of General Relativity and its
possible limitations. Accretion disks probe deep into this strong
gravity regime, reaching up to horizon scales. An important tool to
understand the basic underlying principles of accretion are idealized
analytical models. Here, we first introduce and discuss some analytical
accretion disk models. Based on this, ongoing research on the inclusion
of electromagnetic fields and self-gravity effects is explained.
