Kometen – von Halley bis Rosetta

Abstract: | Kometen sind wenig veränderte Überbleibsel der Frühphasen unseres Planetensystems, und sie brachten beispielsweise einen Teil des Wassers und auch präbiologische organische Substanzen auf die frühe Erde. Dem entsprechend wurden in den letzten Jahrzehnten bereits mehrfach Weltraumexperimente unternommen um mit den Kometen letztlich auch unsere kosmische Vergangenheit genauer erforschen zu können. Diese Missionen und einige ihrer Ergebnisse werden zusammenfassend beschrieben. Gegenwärtig läuft die europäische Rosetta-Mission zum Kometen Churyumov-Gerasimenko mit der erstmaligen Landung einer Sonde („Philae“) auf einer Kometenoberfläche und mit einer großen Anzahl spezifischer wissenschaftlicher Experimente. 19. Deutsche Physikerinnentagung (DPT)

Was: | Die DPT ist eine physikalische Fachtagung, organisiert von der Deutschen Physikalischen Gesellschaft e.V. (DPG) und deren Arbeitskreis Chancengleichheit (AKC). Ziel ist neben dem fachlichen Austausch die Vernetzung von Physikerinnen aller Qualifikationen - von der Bachelor-Studentin bis zur Professorin und Industriephysikerin. Außerdem werden zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte in Industrie und Wirtschaft aufgezeigt und Kontakte zu lokalen und internationalen Unternehmen ermöglicht. Die Deadline für die Abstract-Einreichung, für Vorträge und Poster ist auf den*8. September 2015* verlängert worden. Der FrühbucherrabattfürTeilnehmerInnen gilt noch bis zum *16. September 2015*. Dabei sind im Rahmen einer Quote auch Beiträge von Männern erwünscht. Auf der diesjährigen Physikerinnentagung wird es, ganz im Zeichen des von der UNESCO ausgerufenen internationalen Jahr des Lichtes, ein öffentliches Symposium zum Thema Licht geben. Neben physikalischen Fachvorträgen wird es Vorträge aus dem Bereich der Arbeitswelten geben, durch die man Einblicke in die Berufswelt erhält, wobei besonders auf die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf eingegangen wird. Es wird ein Peer-Coaching für Physikerinnen aus Forschung (Postdocs), Lehre und Industrie geben. Dazu wird die Geschichte der Entstehung unseres Planeten ebenso beleuchtet, wie die Atmosphäre und das Klima auf unserem Heimatplaneten.
